But seriously: two readers wrote me within a few hours of each other asking what to wear for a trip to the Mediterranean. Both were looking for a “Euro-chic” vibe, which I took to mean less J. Crew and more Giovanna Battaglia (shown below).
My top picks for that Euro-chic look:
+Anything Dodo Bar Or, and Net-A-Porter has a bunch of their pieces on sale. I could just see myself boating around the Greek isles in this maxi (on sale for $220). Get the DBO look for less with this $36 embroidered dress (love!) or this $78 English Factory steal.
+These dramatic but affordable mother of pearl shades ($55) are the perfect accompaniment.
+These lace-up sandals by K. Jacques (on sale for $118) would go with EVERYTHING.
+A fun pinata tote ($140)!
+A statement tassel necklace (on sale for $42).
+A Miguelina crochet crop top ($230) and skirt ($550). And P.S. — Miguelina has a ton of pieces on sale right now, and I LOVE this OTS mini and this lace playsuit ($152).
+Espadrilles are always welcome footwear on the Med, but these jazzed-up ones from Bill Blass ($220) are pretty epic, especially with a simple LWD or white jeans and a breezy tunic top. Incidentally, Bill Blass is also responsible for this adorable sandal, which is hands-down the most popular item I’ve EVER featured on my blog!
+The Bill Blass shoe reminds me of this adorable J. Crew printed tee ($29), which I might order a bunch of sizes up and wear over a bikini like this Kiinis style ($120 for top, $165 for bottom).
+Speaking of swimwear, as you know, I’m a HUGE fan of Solid + Striped, and I own and love this one-piece in a seafoam green color ($168), which would be perfect for yacht lounging (a girl can dream). Lots of suits by this chic line on sale here.
+Love it underneath a breezy coverup like this ($169).
+These gold slides nail that Grecian goddess look ($68).

+How AMAZING is this postcard print dress ($148)!??!? This dress scratches my shopping itch for the amazing tropical prints I was obsessing over just a few weeks ago, especially that dress by Vivetta!!
P.S. — Along the lines of the dress above, I REALLY want this $108 OTS lovely. I think I’m going to order it for the Fourth…! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Also considering snapping up this similar $65 steal!
P.P.S. — I believe Giovanna is actually wearing a Lisa Marie Fernandez bathing suit in the snap above. SO CHIC. Get the look for less with this by LSpace or this by Splendid.
Major inspiration (especially for our upcoming Spain trip. Also, that Jcrew tee led me into a dark shopping hole of their entire painted tee collection, so many great options!
