Sale Snack: 50% Off Full-Price at J. Crew.

By: Jen Shoop

An early Black Friday sale: 50% off almost everything at J. Crew (60% off their sale selection!) with code FRIDAY. I’m mainly interested in stocking up on in-season staples for my children:

WAFFLE KNIT TEES AND LINED CORDS FOR HILL

FIELD JACKET FOR $44 (HE HAS ONE FOR THIS SEASON – BOUGHT ONE FOR NEXT YEAR)

CUTEST CABLE-KNIT CREWNECK FOR MINI

CARDIGANS FOR MINI IN IVORY AND NAVY ($20!)

HAD TO SNAG THESE TARTAN-PATCH CORDS FOR MINI

CORDUROY CAP

But if you need a little pick-me-up for yourself, I love this fall headband and this sweater jacket.

Also! Extra 40% off sale clothing at Anthro. This is in my cart…you know i love a good stripe. Easy weekday look with black skinnies and my clog boots. Would look beyond amazing under this sweater cardigan jacket dream, also on sale (at Nordstrom).

P.S. Little girl finds for under $30.

  1. Ok, that might be the earliest Black Friday sale I’ve seen! Thank you for the little girls’ clothing recs — I may need to try those cardigans.

I’m now very, very intrigued by clog boots because of your recent posts. Madewell also makes them (currently 25% off!):

I only wonder if I can chase a very fast toddler in them…?

Going back to J. Crew… I recently bought a midi skirt from them and it’s as great as the reviews say.

The only “problem” is now I want to find the perfect cropped cardigan/sweater to go with it…

I was wondering if you would consider a post on “how to style a ___ 3 ways” or something along those lines? Like taking a basic such as a midi skirt and putting together casual and dressy options with footwear and accessory ideas? I tend to stick with safe basics but sometimes get bored with my own choices, haha.

PS: Off topic, but I have to thank you for introducing me to the label Banjanan! I was able to snag a couple of dresses that were marked down to $100ish and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them this past summer. We’ve had more frequent and intense heat waves in CA this season, and the cotton voile material of their dresses is so light and airy. I love that they’re comfortable enough to wear at home but special enough to go out in — a combination that is not easy to find.

    1. Oooh so much GOOD stuff here, Mia! First, LOVE those Madewell boots! Super similar to my No 6 boots. Love the blonde wood “frame” that both have.

Love that skirt too — CHIC! The slip skirt is definitely having a moment and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy would be so proud. I love the idea of pairing with a chunky cropped cardigan. The Reformation has a perfect one but it is a little pricy:

Mango also has some really good styles out right now at great pricepoints:

LOVE the styling post idea. Will definitely work on something along these lines!

AND — Banjanan! Yes! You nailed the brand’s appeal. Airy cotton but in the most fun cuts and playful prints. So chic!

      xx

    2. Jen, I appreciate you linking to the cardigans!

I’m not in the habit of checking Mango — I’ll have to remember that there are good finds there!

Oh yes, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy…(RIP)… so elegant!
