Hill House University Launch + More Fall Dresses for Festive Occasions.

*I came across the snap above and had one thought: this is the perfect backdrop for wearing an autumnal Hill House dress.

At the moment, I am thinking only of getting my hands on one of Hill House’s new dresses for fall today at 12 EST — the Cher dress in tartan. I intend to wear it with a black turtleneck, black opaque tights, and padded headband. I know a lot of you are excited about the return of the solid navy Ellie (perfect for early fall / layering beneath a statement cardigan as temps cool…can you even imagine paired with these spiffy holiday flats and a pearl cardigan for a festive moment later on this season?! (BTW, I wear this pearl trim cardigan alll the time. It’s basically my desk sweater and I throw it on over my shoulders at my desk constantly. It’s a very generously sized, boxy fit on me, but I like that. My mom hates this sweater because the cuffs are frayed. Ha!). The Nesli will also be on offer in two great fall florals — a burgundy and an emerald. Gosh I love these dresses!

  1. Ahhh, I missed the Cher dress in the tartan! I’m not toooo miffed since I really prefer midi dresses these days. Still debating the longer Paz tops to replace the linen ones I got this summer, which are a shade too cropped for my liking. We’ll see! Did you snag the Cher?!

    1. Oh nooo — those flew! I do think there will be lots more plaid (and hopefully velvet) in the later launch so all is not lost. I agree, too, that I’d rather have a midi! But I did snag the Cher!

  2. I am still on the fence about a nap dress purchase – I’m unsure if it will be something that I actually reach for or if I am just drawn in to the hype!

What I really came to comment on though was your mom hating the frayed hems of that sweater – it gave me a giggle this morning because there is nothing more that I love than a mom reaction to something trendy/different/most often distressed that I am wearing.

I have experienced many of those myself 🙂

    1. Hi Julianna! Haha – sounds like are moms are cut from the same cloth. She hates anything distressed! And re: nap dresses, I totally hear you. There are some products that are just SO over-hyped, I can’t get into them. However…I have to say I truly wear my nap dresses at least once or twice a week. I am a major fan girl! The navy might be a perfect gateway drug for you if you decide to take the plunge.

      xx
