Burgundy + Cream.

By: Jen Shoop

Can you believe this gorgeous capelette is from H+M?!  I had to do a quadruple take.  It reminds of this Chloe cape, which would set you back a cool $4,600.

I imagine pairing this with an elegant ivory sheath (Adam Lippes, on sale for $300):

Ground this look in a fall color in the form of these burgundy suede booties ($180):

I’m also hung-up on this gorgeous Olivia Pope-esque work-appropriate dress (on sale for $198):

Lastly, how about this gown for a knock-out formal look ($440) paired with burgundy tassel earrings ($68),  these affordable mesh-and-suede sandals ($160 — what a steal!), and a YSL clutch ($935):

P.S. I recently snagged this burgundy/cranberry lace sheath for a big presentation I had to give in front of an audience of 300 (!)  — I had to go into hair and makeup and wear one of those Madonna/Beyonce mics.  It was amazing.  I needed to wear something that made me feel uber-confident, and this form-fitting number did the trick, especially paired with some suede pointed-toe pumps.  And boom goes the dynamite.
