I’m loving all of the interesting winter textures this season, from on-trend sherpa to timeless velvet. Below, a few of my favorite finds to add dimension to your winter wardrobe:

THIS SHEARLING HANDBAG!!!!

CORDUROY HEADBAND

LEATHER TOP OR DRESS (WOWZA)

FEATHER TRIM TOP (!!!)

SHERPA EARMUFFS — GUCCI (#EXTRA) OR LAND’S END

VELVET STATEMENT TOP — LOVE THIS SELF-PORTRAIT AND ALSO THIS $22 STEAL FROM THE BRAND THAT CREATED THE AMAZON NIGHTGOWN DRESS

CHIC WOOL-BLEND TURBAN (SAW THIS ON THERESE HELSTROM AND SWOONED)

QUILTED MID-CALF BOOTS

LUSTING AFTER THIS TWEED COAT MINI DRESS

SHEARLING TRIM SPERRY BOOTS

P.S. A lot of fantastic fall/winter textures in this roundup of statement coats, too. Update: This brushed plaid style from Old Navy and this nubby plaid from H&M are reminiscent of the plaid Isabel Marant coat we’re all heart eyes over.

P.P.S. More fall accessories here.

P.P.P.S. Now eyeing this pair of corduroys in the fun green color as an addition to my non-denim rotation. Interesting modern silhouette (the crop flare has been so big for the last season or two)!

  1. Oooh, I’m jealous of your Paris Texas boots! Everything I’ve seen from them is positively SMOKIN’.

Also, I love the shearling slipper trend — I had been eyeing Emu’s Mayberry style for years (!) and recently just snagged the prettiest dove grey pair from Sundance Catalog, of all places! haha! I’m hoping they’ll be the perfect winter house shoes … I have a pair of indoor-only Birks but they are not so warm in the cool weather, and wearing them 365 days a year means they get shabby quickly. I had a pair of Armor Lux shearling slippers a couple of years ago but can’t find them anywhere! So I was happy to find the Emus!

    1. MK! I had and LOVED those Mayberry slippers, and then I wore them when I tripped and split my head open (ahhhh) and could not look at them the same way after that so I had to get rid of them — not because they were a hazard, just because they felt marred by my bad fortune that day. Yikes! But I totally agree on the desire for a pair of house slippers 🙂 Especially handy when running out the door to drop off the trash in our apartment building!

    2. Oh NO! I had no idea … I can empathize with your seeing them as a signifier of bad fortune. I will have to take extra care when traipsing around my apartment!! xx

  2. I love the idea of the Sherpa bags but not sure if I’m willing to invest. The faux suede dress from Ann Taylor is adorable with boots like you said. I would definitely go for the green cords, I love that shade of green. I just bought the Aesop hand wash. I couldn’t resist the reviews and the scent sounds Devine!

    1. Oo Carleen! You are in for a treat with the hand wash — it is EXCELLENT. So excited for you to have such a fun little luxury in your life!

Adore that shade of green, too! I hear you on hesitating on a trend like that — you really have to LOVE it to take the plunge!
