If you are pregnant, I implore you to treat yourself to these Cosabella maternity pajamas! I’ve written about them about four hundred times, but they were my greatest treat and indulgence at the end of the day. They are butter-soft, super-lightweight, and very generously sized. I love that you can use the belt to give yourself a figure above the bump. Also great for nursing. I had several pairs, along with these super-soft Gap nursing nightgowns, which were magic after I’d delivered via c-section, when I didn’t want any waistband close to the incision. Storq didn’t make pajamas when I was pregnant, but this set look like another great buy.

Separately, I have been hunting for a “house mule” similar to the Birdies I wore all winter long in velvet/faux fur, which now feel horribly seasonally inappropriate. These are SO cute but will I be annoyed I can’t slip them on like a mule?!

P.S. Cute summer sleepwear for children.

P.P.S. A trick for falling asleep.

P.P.P.S. Bedtime routines. And if your bedding needs an upgrade, consider adding a bolster pillow in a designer fabric.

  1. Ooh, we are LAKE x JB twins with the spring vine print! I love those pajamas so much, and my mom admired them so much that I’m getting her a pair for her birthday 🙂

I’ve also been super intrigued by the Lunya silk sets … may have to try them soon, but for now my pajama drawer is full! In the warmer months I definitely gravitate towards my LAKE sets, the HHH Katherine dress, and this beautiful fil coupé tie-shoulder pajama dress from Net-A-Porter (can’t remember the brand!)

    1. Oh, and re: house shoes — I love the look of the Venetian slippers and Drogheria Crivellini makes the best ones! I have a pair of mary jane-style ones in red velvet that I love to wear around the holidays, but they also make some cute prints for the warmer weather — cf. this pair from Rennes, one of my favorite Philadelphia shops: https://www.rennes.us/collections/drogheria-crivellini/products/drogheria-crivellini-linen-flat-in-sky-gingham

    2. I love all of these! I’m also intrigued by the Lunya specifically because it’s washable. Genius!!

  2. I used to be all about Eberjey pjs but recently tried Recliner and am obsessed. I prefer sleeping in pants and their fabric is so cool and light. Plus I think the longer top is more flattering (and allowed me to wear them my whole pregnancy).

    1. Hi Jen! I also have some Recliners. I do like them — the material especially is SO soft and dreamy — but I find them unflattering? Every time I look at myself in a mirror I want to adjust everything. Maybe it’s just that they aren’t a perfect fit for my body type — better for taller gals?
I find the pants bunch up in a weird way. When I am not feeling well or super exhausted, I tend to reach for them because they are SO soft but they don’t make me feel cute! What do you think?

  3. Thank you! Yes, a lived in look is my favorite with my top three sources of inspiration for that look being (1) Nancy Meyers, (2) Lily Aldridge’s home tour, and (3) Kendall Jenner’s home tour. The latter two can be found on youtube through Architectural Digest. I read somewhere that every room should have a bit of brown and always keep that in mind for living rooms in particular- the brown chair, if you go with it, will be perfect for that! I plan on going with the gray for now, with a long-term plan of purchasing the ballard designs parsons chair. The shipping time is quite long for it currently (August, though it likely varies based on fabric selection), but I would recommend checking it out if you’re interested. There is a ballard designs in Tysons Square where I tried the chair and was so impressed with the quality.

Another random comment- after seeing your post about Shopbop’s 25% off sale earlier, I saw that a colorway in my favorite SZ blockprints style (Jaipur) was on sale, and while excluded from the promo, customer service honored the price adjustment! What a miracle! Cannot wait to get it in the mail. The dresses are perfect for hot, humid summer weather, and I love the sleeves for protecting my arms from the sun without going the cardigan route.

    1. Wow!! Never hurts to ask, right?! They really are the perfect hot weather dress, even with sleeves! So light and breezy. I live in them.

LOVE the looks you’re going for in your home aesthetic!!!

  4. Love lake pajamas, especially the Julia Berolzheimer collection… finally some pretty prints 😉 Have been thinking of purchasing the spritz shade ever since you posted it on Instagram, but have four pairs and think maybe I should diversify brands!

I love eberjey and find their modal fabric is very durable despite running it through the washer/dryer for 5+ years. That said, I ordered the following similar set for a friend this morning and would recommend to those looking for a similar look at a lower price point: https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens_category/pajamas/pajamasets/dreamy-shortsleeve-pajama-short-set/AV151?color_name=sheer-blue&colorProductCode=AV151

Unrelated to PJs, I’ve been eyeing the Laura Davidson chairs ever since you posted about them. Can’t decide between the gray fabric and white leather options for a white parsons desk. Would love your input Jen! I’m also wondering which feather friends duvet you’d recommend for DC weather. Many are out of stock so I’m patiently waiting for them to come back. Thank you so much in advance! This blog has saved me countless hours researching the best items to purchase- just ordered the fellow stagg kettle yesterday in white and can’t wait for it to arrive- 25% off at havenwellwithin.com if you’re interested, and Williams Sonoma price matches!

Also, the couch search continues but I’ll be looking into crate and barrel based on comments in a previous post.

Hope preparation for your upcoming move is going well!

    1. Hi!! Those J. Crew pajamas look great and I’ve had multiple sets of their “dreamy” pajamas in the longer length and find the quality is pretty good. I just had to retire the first pair I ever bought, and they were probably six years old? And I wore them constantly. Navy with tiny white hearts all over. May they RIP.

For the chair – you are SO reading my mind. I am in a similar quandary. Despite what I originally wrote, I actually think I might go with the saddle brown leather for my white desk. I plan on eventually putting a feminine wallpaper in there, with pastel color rug, but I think the contrast of the feminine with that slightly masculine chair will work nicely. I’ve been spending so much time poring over design inspiration and one thing I am drawn to in a lot of homes is a “lived-in mix” effect, where things go but are not totally matchy-matchy. You can see an example of brown leather with pastel here:

So anyway, that’s a long way of saying I think I will go with the brown but my runner up (and I still might change my mind, we will see) would probably be gray. A good neutral with a bit more femininity than the brown. I also like the white but worry that with our white desks, it might afford a too-sterile look? (Also might be harder to keep clean.)

More to come!!! Thank you for reading along!!

      xx
