Per-SUEDE.

By: Jen Shoop

I’ve been cooped up in a cold office building the last few days for a weekend work event, shuddering to my core in the frigid A.C.  (Typical work uniform?  Slightly above-the-knee skirt in a fluted or a-line shape and blouse.)  It’s made me take a look at my sweater inventory and realize that the look I’m going for involves suede.

More specifically, a chunky fisherman’s knit sweater (Tory Burch, $295) with suede shorts (also TB, $395 — get the look for less with these or these):

Finish with some Aquazzura sandals ($565) and a little textured clutch ($235):

Other suede pieces worth contemplating:

+Suede top (Proenza Schouler, on sale for $375) would look rad with the affordable pleated leather skirt referenced above ($118).

+Still majorly coveting the Stuart Weitzman highland boot (pictured above in flat form, $795).

+The perfect suede pump ($695).

+The perfect suede party shoe ($89!).

+This suede mini ($90) would look fab with an aran knit sweater.  Love the color of this one, too.

+Olivia Palermo was spotted in this fringed suede mini.
