  1. Ooooh also – my favorite budget-friendly tip for nurseries is cheap wall art. Just go to a high end stationary shop (Paper Source, for example) and buy a few different sheets of cute wrapping paper. Then get some inexpensive frames from Michael’s or similar et voila! – no more bare walls. Plus you can easily switch out the paper for a new look.

  2. That mirror (and dresser…and little white blouse…) is gorgeous! This is a great list, wish I would have known about that scalloped rug several years ago! Although I’m sure I wouldn’t have appreciated the value of machine washable when planning the nursery. Who can imagine projectile spit up until you’re cleaning it off the rug at 3:30am?? Also, we have similar textured drum fixtures (flush mount, though…) in both girls’ rooms and have been very happy with them.

    1. Ha – I know what you mean about not appreciating the value of machine washability / durability. I was aconvinced that we would be able to keep grubby fingers off our nice living room furniture and our dog off our expensive bedroom rug. Ha. Ha. Ha. (As I sob.) Now I’m just letting us wear those pieces to the ground and will buy something new after they’re a little older…!

      xx
