Monday Funday.

I know everyone dreads Mondays. But recently I came across an inspirational quote: “Attitude is the difference between a hassle and an adventure.” And it made me re-think my approach to Mondays. Even owning my own business, where I technically* make the rules (*heavily asterisked because, in all honesty, the customer owns my business — I exist because they exist), I can sometimes head into the week feeling like I’m starting an uphill battle instead of greeting the week with a smile on my face and a can-do attitude. (Side note: Ohmigod, who have I turned into *that girl* who actually pays attention to cheesy inspirational quotes on Pinterest? Who am I?) But seriously, just take a look at the chic lady, who — for all we know! — could be rocking this look on a Monday and just having the most fabulous day of her life. I want to go where she’s going. And I’m going to follow suit by challenging myself to make this upcoming Monday a fashion funday — take a risk, wear my favorite new article of clothing, take the time to get really dolled up, throw on heels instead of flats, etc.

*OK, many of these things are not work wardrobe appropriate (for most of us). But you can buy them on a Monday and feel happy about it. Or get wild and creative and mix them into a workplace-appropriate look. Whatever you do, just put a smile on that face come Monday.
