I’ve had a lot of requests recently for suggestions for formal/semi-formal events this fall. ‘Tis the season, I s’pose. (I cringe to admit that I listened to the Charlie Brown Christmas album one recent Saturday. #dontjudge). Below, my favorite cocktail and evening dresses right now:

+Love these starburst earrings, these oversized hearts, these oysters (!!!), and these Oscar lookalikes. (I ordered a pair of the latter last year in a lavender color and was astounded by the quality. These are super fun, but these would go with EVERYTHING.)
+Still drooling over Loeffler Randall’s Zadie bag, but I also love this acrylic monogrammable clutch. My ultimate dream, however? A classic Bottega Veneta knot clutch. (You can find some gently used ones here.)
+A feather bolero. (In that ice blue tho!!! OMG!)

Ah! Love these options. I have an “anniversary celebration” coming up in early December — a friend got married at City Hall last year, didn’t have a reception at the time, & is throwing a party to celebrate their first anniversary — so I need a festive cocktail dress. I am considering a fringed Shoshanna dress in black, but feel like I should inject some color? I’m keeping my eyes open. LOVE those oyster earrings! xo

I NEED some wild party shoes! I tend to wear flats waaay more than heels, so my collection of heels is very, shall we say, safe. Black, nude, and even pewter, all covered … but I need some fun options! Something like those Aquazzura powder puff heels would be excellent. 🙂
YES! You know, this is pretty much my favorite wardrobe hack: invest in some funky/loud shoes once a season and your staples take on a new life.
