Mr. Magpie was in dire need of some fall wardrobe additions, so we spent quite a bit of time (and money…) at Ralph Lauren this past weekend, and I was reminded of the company’s admirable charitable commitment to the breast cancer cause when the salesclerk mentioned that the line has raised over $50M in support of breast cancer research. $50 million! And then I was reminded that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and decided to add little pops up pink to my daily wardrobe as my little gesture of support.
Whether it’s from Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony Shop or not (below: Pink Pony tee, $98, Ralph Lauren and Pink Pony water bottle, $20, Bloomingdale’s), there are tons of ways to show your true colors when it comes to supporting breast cancer research.
I’ve long wanted, for example, a Virginia Johnson scarf. She has the cutest/quirkiest prints in the best colors — include our color of choice: pink ($195, Virginia Johnson):
Tres chic paired with some understated taupe separates — as are these p.e.r.f.e.c.t. pink pumps (and in suede! — which I can’t get enough off this season! — Kate Spade, $295, Zappos):
I’m also loving the vibrant fuschia of this Marc Jacobs hobo ($398, Nordstrom), which would positively pop next to some rich chocolate browns or some classic black separates:
I recently set my sights on this Boulevard wallet, which can be hot-stamped with your monogram (swoon! — I’d do my initials in gold when paired with this chic French-style wallet — $107 plus $5 for personalization, BlvdBags):

Alternately, how darling are these leather bracelets by Erica Anenberg ($98 and $84, respectively, Erica Anenberg)? While I admit to giving preferential treatment to the bold and oversized when it comes to jewelry, I kind of like the idea of pairing these with a stack of gold bangles!
For something a bit glitzier (less appropriate for day-time), I’m in l-o-v-e with these sparkling Frangos danglers ($160, Charm and Chain):
