Drama.

By: Jen Shoop

If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll know that I have lately been drawn to lots of darkly chic, dramatic looks — black with glossy gold; architectural separates; layers of contrasting texture (fur, feather, leather, suede, studs!).

So rich and glamorous for fall.  Imagine a black cape from Gucci (wow. — $1,945 — or get the look for a little less here for $395) with glossy gold earrings ($130), black skinnies and some suede booties ($279):

Perfect with a leopard cross-body ($745), a leather cuff ($165), and some black quilted gloves ($148):

Or, how about a black leather skirt ($485) with a baroque style necklace ($156) and nude blouse ($74)?

Finish with fierce patterned flats ($89) and a quilted/feathered clutch ($200):

And how to die is this leather-and-wool blend jumper dress from Rebecca Taylor ($650), with a Fallon necklace ($325)?

Finish with some cap-toed heels ($650) and a pebbled leather clutch ($979) from Proenza Schouler:

For something a bit more casual, consider this peplum top ($20) with a serious statement necklace ($678), some black skinnies, and those TDF Valentino studded heels ($1,145):

Add a calf-hair bag ($128) and you’re set.

Finally, a quad of goodies that can help you get the look — Kate Spade Eddie flat ($228), Anya Hindmarch keyfob ($125), studded and pearled cuff ($225), and Alexander Wang pouch ($175).

Happy Monday!

    1. Yes! Tell me if you find it! BTW, Jen, I got my J. Crew PJs and am in love. They are long in the leg for my petite self, so I have to roll them up (nerdy), but besides that, they fit fairly true to size, I think. The top is a little on the baggy side, but intentionally so.
